KLB flat blocks with integrated insulation, KLB-ISOSTAR and KLB-SK
Heat insulation blocks / approvals Z-17.1-1075 and Z-17.1-1078
KLB-ISOSTAR and KLB-SK are advancements in KLB-Kalopor precision blocks with integrated insulation made of mineral wool. With these, monolithic, permeable walls that do not require thick exterior insulation can also be produced.
The three chambers of the 249 mm high KLB-ISOSTAR flat blocks are filled in with insulation cuttings over the entire block height. In the butt joint area they are connected with a tongue and groove formation that is not interrupted by insulation cuttings.
KLB-SK flat blocks KLB-SK08 and KLB-SK09 with the corresponding coefficients of thermal conductivity 0.08 and 0.09 W/mK are a mixture of KLB-ISOSTAR and flat block SW1. 36.5 and 42.5 SK-blocks only have an insulation cutout running down the middle in the direction of the wall and three slot rows each aligned towards the inside as well as the outside of the wall. 49 type SK-blocks have two insulation cutouts and one slot row in the block middle and one slot row each aligned along the outsides. KLB-SK and KLB-ISOSTAR flat blocks have no lid.
Solid exterior and interior ridges made of carefully prepared washing pumice ensure the gross density classes 0.40, 0.45 and 0.55 for both block types, with simultaneous full utilisation of the compressive strength classes 2 or 4 respectively.
Both types of blocks were approved by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt), Berlin, for building: Approval Z-17.1-1075 for KLB-ISOSTAR, Z-17.1-1078 for KLB-SK.
