KLB Flat Lintels
With prefabricated, reinforced tension belts / Approval Z-17.1-976
KLB flat lintels consist of a pre-fabricated, reinforced tension belt. They are only self-supporting and only reach their full load limit via a pressure zone made of masonry or concrete. The pressure zone must be made out of solid block masonry, SFK 12 (≥ 15 N/mm²) in connection with completely filled butt and horizontal joints ≥ MG II.
The tension belt of the KLB flat lintels consists of light-weight concrete and is reinforced with a steel rod, in contrast to the rod-reinforced or bracket-reinforced, load-bearing KLB lintels, which do not have to be enclosed in masonry and display correspondingly high load limits.
The support depth is respectively at least 11.5 cm. For a wall thickness ≥ 24.0 cm two or three lintels can be built-in next to each other instead of one lintel in accordance with the following sketch.
